Leon Araujo, aka Noise Explosion, a self-taught Latino artist from Ogden, Utah, specializes in digital media, murals, and photography. Born in Toluca, Mexico, he infuses his heritage into his vibrant, contemporary artworks. His diverse portfolio includes music videos, interviews, abstract illustrations, and creative photography, showcasing his wide-ranging talents. During the pandemic, he initiated "Sketching Ogden," depicting local businesses to support the community, gaining social media recognition and landing on the digital cover of Indie Ogden in 2020. This propelled him to the forefront of Ogden's art scene, leading to numerous commissions and accolades, including the Ogden Mayor’s Emerging Artist award in 2022. Actively involved in community initiatives, such as the City Arts Advisory Committee and Dia de los Muertos Committee, Leon advocates for Ogden's artistic growth. Fluent in Spanish, he facilitates community outreach, exemplified by his involvement in Dumkee Arts Plaza planning and promoting Latin community engagement in art events. His work has been exhibited across Utah, including at the Consulado de Mexico in Salt Lake City and The Monarch in Ogden.
